Wrinkle Relaxers (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin)

What is it?
Wrinkle relaxers, also known as neuromodulators, are injectable products we use to help soften existing fine lines and wrinkles and prevent future wrinkles from forming.
How does it work?
When a neuromodulator is injected into the targeted muscle group, movement of the muscle slowly becomes inhibited due to the product paralyzing and weakening the muscle's ability to cause lines and wrinkles.
Keep in mind that while your forehead muscle is limited from moving as normal with expression, this will not completely eliminate all existing wrinkles. Deeper static wrinkles may require multiple treatments to soften and improve visible appearance over time.
How long will I see results?
You can expect to look in the mirror and see your peak results in 2 weeks post-treatment. Typically, it takes 10-14 days for the neuromodulator to be completely activated, with less dynamic movement in the treated areas noticeable with each consecutive day in the 2 week frame. Dysport and Xeomin have a slightly different mechanism of action and take less time to "kick in" than Botox on average.
How many treatments will I need?
After your initial injections, you will start to regain movement in the areas treated which will require maintenance to keep your radiant results. On average, we recommend coming in every 3-4 months for a treatment to optimally prevent and treat your fine lines and wrinkles.
